As a Part-Time Grants Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our organization’s mission to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of grants, from identifying funding opportunities to ensuring compliance and reporting. Your strategic approach to grant management will enable us to achieve our goals effectively and efficiently.

The ideal candidate for this position has experience in nonprofit organizations, State and Federal Grants processes, and established relationships with funders throughout Northeast Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

Grants Development:

  • Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify and develop strategies to optimize the grants administration process.
  • Perform relevant research to identify available grant opportunities and evaluate the results.
  • Write and submit grant proposals on behalf of the organization.

Grants Management:

  • Lead the entire lifecycle of grants and contracts, including proposal development, award negotiation, and post-award management.
  • Keep the relevant staff informed about upcoming deadlines and deliverables, thereby ensuring smooth completion of work responsibilities.
  • Oversee the job of invoicing, accounting, reporting, and other administrative functions to ensure successful execution of the grant process.
  • Monitor paperwork and other related documents connected with grant-funded programs.
  • Maintain records of all payments and receivables and prepare monthly records for all grant-related activities.

Partnership and Networking:

  • Develop and nurture relationships with potential funding partners, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
  • Attend relevant conferences, meetings, and events to expand the organization’s network.
  • Collaborate with other organizations to identify and pursue collaborative funding opportunities.

Records Management:

  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive and organized grants management system.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all grant-related activities, including proposals, reports, and communications.
  • Regularly audit and update grant records to ensure compliance with organizational and funder requirements.

Reporting:

  • Manage and support the grants requirement and implementation for the organization.
  • Develop and maintain a reporting schedule to ensure timely and accurate submission of grant reports.
  • Collaborate with program managers and finance to compile relevant data for reporting.
  • Provide comprehensive and insightful analysis in grant reports to showcase impact and outcomes.
  • Provide detailed reports to the founders and the board of directors regarding the organization’s progress.

Working Conditions:

  • Work schedule: 25 Hours a week.
  • Work environment: Hybrid remote/on site.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, climb stairs, balance, sit, walk, type, kneel, and crouch.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years of grant development experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • Grant Professional Certification (GPC) or similar certifications preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
